Guthrie Business Circle Contributors
It is a great pleasure to have this opportunity to reach out to you, a group with such passion, dedication and insight into this great theater and the many ways in which it touches and inspires this community. In this space, I hope to share with you some of the many reasons why we can all be proud to be part of the Guthrie and how donations contribute to touching many lives on so many levels.
In the past year, for instance, more than 420,000 people came to see shows at the Guthrie, and more than 7,000 visitors enjoyed one of the Guthrie's tours: backstage, audio and architecture. This speaks to a terrific level of community involvement and interest and also helps drive home a vital point: that the Guthrie is a world-class theater where our productions are built under one roof, by craftspeople and artisans of the highest caliber. They are one-of-a-kind creations and the result of enormous skill and creativity. Just as importantly, our tours are a vivid reminder that this theater belongs to everyone, that its doors are open, and that it's a place of welcome and celebration throughout the year.
These are some of the many reasons why our donors deserve such recognition and thanks. In giving to the Guthrie, you are contributing to the brilliant work we enjoy so much on our stages. You're also contributing to a vital and electric community presence, a place of education and training, a place dedicated to access for all, and an organization of fabulously dedicated individuals determined to ensure that the arts and all their benefits will continue to thrive for generations to come. You are making a difference and ultimately contributing to public connectedness and dialogue, to the very discourse so vital to our democracy.
Again, thank you.
