Community Giving

Since its founding in 1963, the Guthrie Theater has been embraced by a generous community of donors committed to supporting one of the world's greatest theaters here in Minnesota. Each year, more than 80% of all contributions to the Guthrie come from individuals and families. Community Giving donors make individual contributions of $50 to $1,999. Donors receive special discounts, a subscription to the Guthrie newsletter, and more.

Tyrone Guthrie Circle

Named in honor of the theater's founding artistic director, Tyrone Guthrie Circle (TGC) members provide significant support for the theater with annual gifts of $2,000 or more. TGC-exclusive benefits include VIP ticketing service, Behind-the-Scenes experiences by artistic and design staff, Sneak Peeks into upcoming productions with the directors, exclusive invitations to opening night celebrations, and use of the private Kitchak Lounge during intermissions, where you can mix and mingle with other theater enthusiasts, receive complimentary drinks and enjoy breathtaking views of the Mississippi River.

Corporate Matching Gifts

The Guthrie applies all employer matching gifts towards the individual donor's benefit levels. Some companies provide this benefit for both current employees and retirees. A corporate matching gift may advance you to a higher donor level. Please check with your human resources representative to see if your company matches employee gifts.
