The Guthrie supports fundraising events for non-profit organizations through the donation of performance tickets and backstage tour admissions.
DONATION POLICY
The Guthrie is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, and it is our policy to donate only to other 501(c)(3) organizations. We would like to grant all requests, but as a non-profit organization, we must limit the number of contributions we make. Priority is given as follows:
- Arts organizations
- Education organizations
- Social Service organizations
- Medical organizations and medical research
- Sponsors of the Guthrie raising funds for non-for-profit organizations
We can give only once per season to each beneficiary group. The beneficiary of your event may have already received a donation from us, since multiple events often benefit a single group.
We will make no donations that benefit a specific religious or political organization or any organization which represents an issue generally regarded as political.
No donations will be made that benefit a specific individual or family.
Donations are limited to fundraising events only; we do not provide door prizes.
APPLICATION PROCESS
Provide the name, date and a description of the event. Indicate the beneficiary, their 501(c)(3) Tax ID number, and explain how proceeds from the event will be used. Provide the name, phone number, mailing address and e-mail address of a contact person. Donation requests must be received at least three weeks prior to the event as requests can take up to two weeks to process.
