Here at the Guthrie, we love teachers. You are committed to changing lives and introducing young people to the excitement and inspiration of theater, and we are proud to collaborate with you. No matter what part of the state or region you teach in, we want to support your work and help enrich your students’ education. Our school-based programs – including Guthrie student matinees, educator workshops and customized group classes – are designed to enhance your curriculum and introduce students to the power of theater.

The Guthrie offers customized school classes. These unique 90-minute classroom experiences can be tailored to address any number of theater topics, including stage combat, Shakespeare, even the history of the Guthrie – the possibilities are limitless. For more information or to create your own customized opportunity contact Jason Brown, Director of Education, at 612.225.6133 or by e-mail at jasonb@guthrietheater.org.
