Guthrie Theater

A Costumes internship is a terrific opportunity to gain practical, hands on experience in a professional costume shop with top designers and technical staff. Interns will work under staff supervision assisting in the completion of costume items for use in a Guthrie production. An internship with the Guthrie will help to develop skills to the level required in the professional theater. We set a high standard of quality and look for interns interested in contributing to the process in a fast paced environment.

Seeking college juniors or above who are studying costume design or recent graduates who have knowledge of basic costume construction, sewing techniques and stitching skills.

The Costumes internship is from January - May 2012, and the time commitment is approximately 32 hours per week, with the exact schedule and dates to be determined. Hours are typically between Monday - Friday 8 - 5.
