Education Group Sales

Since our founding in 1963, teachers have played a vital role at the Guthrie. Teachers have introduced generations of young people to the excitement and inspiration of live theater. Our school-based partnerships touch every corner of the state and region and serve more than 100,000 young people each year. Make sure your school is part of the Guthrie's season and share in the magic of stories unfolding on our stages!

Student Matinee Programming

For all student performances, Matinee Mornings and Post-play Discussions will complement your students' Guthrie experience. Matinee Mornings are a delightful and informative way to begin your day at the Guthrie. Your students will have the opportunity to learn more about the production they are about to see directly from members of the Guthrie's Literary and Production staffs as well as from an actor in the show! Post-play discussions involve the actors, giving you the chance to ask questions, find out more and really get the conversation going among your students, possibly spilling over onto the bus-ride home! Matinee Morning Workshops and Post-play Discussions are included in the weekday matinee pricing.

Backstage Tours, Box Lunches, and additional workshops are available to student groups as well. See below for more information. Financial assistance may be available for your student group; make sure to inquire about grant tickets when placing your order!
