Guthrie Volunteer Inviation
The Junior Class of the University of Minnesota/Guthrie Theater B.F.A. Actor Training Program invites you to see them perform in Children of Oedipus, an adaptation of Sophocles' Antigone with a beginning from Aechylus' Seven Against Thebes.
The director/adapter is Elisa Carlson, Guthrie voice and speech coach and B.F.A. faculty, with choral choreography by Carl Flink, artistic director of Black Label Movement and current Chair of the Department of Theatre Arts and Dance at the U.
Performances are in the Rarig Center Kilbourn Arena Theater on the west bank of the U of M campus, and are free. The play runs about an hour and 20 minutes. The greek plays are popular with students, so we recommend you arrive 15 minutes before curtain time to assure a good seat.
