The Actors Workout is a highly individual training program focusing on each actor's needs. The classes will deal with issues relevant to an actor's creative process as well as various working circumstances. Presented in a supportive and challenging training environment, it is designed to nurture and free the actor's individual creative spirit allowing more creativity, openness and courage. Scene presentations from film and theater are the primary focus with critiques following.
This is a continuous class, which gives the actor the ability to have a place to work on an ongoing basis.
Class Details
Teaching Artist: Raye Birk is an accomplished stage, film and television actor with nearly 150 television appearances and 20 feature films to his credit, and it all began with an internship at the Guthrie Theater. Raye moved on from the Guthrie to teach at Southern Methodist University and to work as a performer, instructor, director and administrator for the prestigious American Conservatory Theater of San Francisco. Raye will be seen next at the Guthrie Theater in our production of The Faith Healer by Brian Friel.
Class Length: 3 hours and 30 minutes
Date & Time: Mondays 1:30 - 5 p.m.
For ages: 18 and up
Cost: $100 for 4 weeks
