Guthrie Theater

The Guthrie Theater does not accept unsolicited scripts from any source and does not request scripts based on reading synopses or sample dialogue. Please note this policy change effective April 1, 2009. Any unsolicited scripts we receive with a postmark after April 1, 2009, will be recycled.

For information on obtaining literary and theatrical representation, other theaters interested in new plays and script submission procedures, please consult the excellent publication Dramatists Sourcebook, published by Theatre Communications Group, a service organization for the not-for-profit professional theater, available through your local bookstore, online through vendors such as Amazon.com, or directly from TCG Publications at tcg.org. The Sourcebook is published biannually, so you may want to confirm that policies have not changed since the latest publication date. The Guthrie's policy as listed in the Sourcebook is outdated.
