An intern can expect to work on various aspects of the theater's overall communications plan. An intern will learn about using video, still photography and audio recording to promote the work of a professional theater. They will develop editing and evaluation skills, using a critical eye to choose multimedia content that is compelling to viewers and listeners. The intern should have experience with basic video/audio editing and graphic design, PhotoShop, Adobe Premiere Elements 3.0, and Illustrator, communication, organization, writing and problem solving skills. One should be able to inititiate and follow through on projects while at the same time, being able to accept guidance. An intern will work both individually and as part of a team. Adaptability and a need to achieve are a plus. Enthusiasm for the arts is necessary to understand the relationship between the theater and the community. Seeking those who are upper level undergraduates (junior or senior) or those who have already attained their degree to apply.
A minimum commitment of three months is expected; however, shorter internships are accepted if the recipient will be working fulltime in the department.
