Development

Purpose

To provide an opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge of development/fundraising in the world of theater arts, specifically, prospecting and cultivating.

Prerequisites

The department seeks graduate level students or upper level undergraduates who are interested in pursuing a career in fundraising or theater management. Good communication and computer skills are essential.

What to Expect

The intern will be introduced to and will work in the areas of prospect and donor research; corporate, individual and foundation annual giving; telemarketing and direct response.

Time Commitment

The department expects an internship of at least three months and a commitment to a schedule of at least fifteen hours per week.
