An internship in the Development Department will provide an opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge of development/fundraising in the world of theater arts, specifically, database management, research and events.
The department seeks graduate level students or upper level undergraduates, with good comminication skills, who are interested in pursuing a career in fundraising or theater management. Word and Excel skills are essential.
The intern will be introduced to and will work in the areas of prospect and donor research; corporate, individual and foundation annual giving; fundraising events and data mining. The intern will also provide assistance with daily needs such as mailings, filing, and other duties as assigned.
The department expects an internship of at least three months and a commitment to a schedule of at least fifteen hours per week.
