Internship application

While a Guthrie Theater internship is an unpaid position, the Guthrie does offer complimentary show tickets to Guthrie productions, professional development opportunities, inclusion in theater activities such as Meet and Greets, staff meetings and more.

Housing arrangements: It is the responsibility of the intern to make housing arrangements. We are unable to provide housing.

References: The application includes a request for three references. Ideally these are individuals who know you well (e.g. employers, teachers, mentors).

Please note: The application process can take several days, weeks or even months as the Guthrie receives hundreds of internship applications. If you are selected for an interview, a Guthrie staff member will contact you.
