Helmed by Flying Foot Forum Director Joe Chvala, Heaven is a mind-bending dance theater epic that follows an American war photographer on an odyssey through war-torn Bosnia in the early 1990s. It blasts off at the frenetic pace of battle, stopping along the way to look at the humanity behind the suffering. It is a heart-wrenching yet hopeful story of survival, understanding, forgiveness and even beauty in the face of some of the most horrific events of the late 20th century. With music by Chan Poling of The New Standards, Heaven flies through the realms of pop, rap, rock, percussion and opera mixed with traditional and contemporary Balkan styles.

Please note: Audiences are encouraged to come early and take their seats by 15 minutes of curtain to witness the Heaven company enact a pre-show ahead of the action of the play.

This production contains mature themes and language.
