This season the Guthrie welcomes internationally acclaimed Propeller to present The Taming of the Shrew in repertory with Twelfth Night, two comedies full of mistaken identities, transformations and deception. Well known for communicating the genius of Shakespeare with a distinctive physical approach including the use of an all-male company, Propeller presents Shakespeare with clarity, speed and imagination. Britain’s The Stage raved, “Propeller makes Shakespeare feel sharp, contemporary and urgent without skimping on the language or cutting corners. And for young audiences, I can’t imagine a more exciting introduction to our greatest dramatist."

The Taming of the Shrew is the one where … Petruchio weds then tames the ill-tempered Katherine until she’ll swear the sun is the moon, while suitors (disguised, of course) woo her sweet-tempered sister Bianca.

Run time: 2 hours 40 minutes including intermission
This production contains nudity.
