Don’t miss this 75-minute tour de force! Trick Boxing follows David Danielovich, a down-on-his-luck apple seller who is bamboozled into becoming a boxer by a shady hustler and ends up swinging his way to the championship with the aid of a wily dance hall girl named Bella. Written, directed, choreographed and performed by husband and wife duo Megan McClellan and Brian Sostek, each playing multiple roles, this fast-paced physical comedy is full of rapid-fire dialogue, high-energy dance numbers, ridiculous puppetry and boxing. Since it premiered at the 2002 Minnesota Fringe, Trick Boxing has received rave reviews around the globe. From New York to London critics have called it “a tiny treasure of a show,” “a sweet little love story from a bygone era,” “a beautiful piece of comic storytelling performed with infectious charm,” and the show that sends the audience out of the theater with “a spring in their step.”
