Residencies

Residencies invite you to bring a trained Guthrie teaching artist into your classroom for 90 minutes, a day, a week or a month. Complement your curriculum with activities designed to meet your specific needs.

Residency options:

  • 1) Acting - This residency encourages expression, critical thinking and comparative analysis. By playing theater games your students will work on team building, sparking creativity and breaking down barriers. In longer residencies, work with students will focus on developing a character, working with a script or creating a script of their own.
  • 2) Shakespeare - This residency, focusing on A Midsummer Night's Dream,will help your students understand the world of Shakespeare as well as demystify the language of Shakespeare's plays.
