For nearly 50 years the Guthrie Theater and The Children's Theatre Company have
designed and
constructed intricately detailed, one-of-a-kind costumes for hundreds of
productions. Now their shared warehouse with more than 17,000 square
feet of space
devoted to the preservation of these extraordinary garments is open to
the
public for guided tours. CostumeRentals guides provide information about
a wide
variety of costume materials and their construction, highlighting
individual
pieces from the Guthrie's rich history.

Public tours are scheduled at 11:30 a.m. on the first and third Saturdays of each month. $12, $7 for groups, subscribers, students and seniors. For tickets, call the Box Office at 612.377.2224 or order online. Advance purchase is preferred, but tickets may also be purchased with cash or check at CostumeRentals the day of the tour. Additional tours may be scheduled for groups of 10 or more; advance reservations are required by calling 612.225.6240.
