What’s your favorite moment in the show?
The finale by far. I think the staging and choreography is brilliant.

What was your reaction when you learned you’d be spending your summer in Minneapolis?
Performing at the Guthrie has always been a dream of mine so I was beyond excited to be here. I was here a couple years ago doing Hairspray at the Orpheum. I loved the city back then so I was excited to return!

What’s your favorite getaway?
San Luis Obispo, CA! It’s absolutely gorgeous!

What’s the most memorable thing someone has said to you after seeing the show?
I can’t answer that question. There have been so many wonderful reactions. The most memorable thing is the look in the audience’s eyes at curtain call. What’s in their eyes is beyond words.

What do you like to do most on your day off?
Nothing at all!! I love not having a schedule because every other day in my whole life is planned. I love being free.

Who inspires you?
Brilliant seasoned performers. I’m constantly reading and learning from them.

What’s the one destination in the Twin Cities you must see before you leave? Where’s the good soul food???? BBQ Ribs?

What’s the one thing you knew you had to pack for the road?
One thing?? That’s impossible to answer. I need everything!

A Thousand Splendid Suns, or The Namesake

Do you have any hidden talents?
Hidden talents? Cooking and impersonations

Rude people.
