Busy traffic expected for Monday night's Vikings game and Tuesday afternoon's Twins Game

Monday, October 5: Minnesota Vikings

Streets around Metrodome to close as a security measure for Monday, Oct. 5 Vikings game The City of Minneapolis will close several streets around the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome as a security measure for the Minnesota Vikings game.

Beginning at 5 p.m. Oct. 5, the City will close the following streets:
· Fifth Street, from 11th Avenue to Park Avenue
· Chicago Avenue, from Third Street to Sixth Street
· Fourth Street, from Park Avenue to I-35W
· Norm McGrew Place, from Third Street to Fourth Street

These roads will reopen about two hours after the completion of the Vikings game (about 11 p.m.)

Tuesday, October 6: Minnesota Twins

Traffic coming into downtown will be exceptionally heavy on Tuesday afternoon (continuing into the early evening) as the Twins fight for the division in the American League's Central Division against the Detroit Tigers
