The Guthrie today announced that it will partner with the Minnesota Consortium of Theological Schools to offer "Reflections by Theologians and Physicians," two panel discussions following the November 10 and 17 performances of Brian Friel's Faith Healer on the McGuire Proscenium Stage.

Guthrie to broadcast complete pilot season of NT Live -- remaining '09-10 dates now on sale
The Guthrie announced today that it will continue its participation in the pilot season of NT Live - an initiative by the UK's National Theatre to broadcast high-definition performances of its plays to more than 300 venues worldwide - with screenings of Shakespeare's All's Well That Ends Well (October 24 and 25 at 1 p.m.), Mark Ravenhill's exhilarating adaptation of Terry Pratchett's witty adventure story Nation (February 5 and 6 at 7:30 p.m.) and Alan Bennett's new play The Habit of Art (May 1 and 2 at 7:30 p.m.).

Four local companies to take part in "Singled Out: A Festival of Emerging Artists" in the Dowling Studio
The Guthrie today announced that Four Humors Theater, Sandbox Theatre, Lamb Lays with Lion and New Theatre Group will each present one of their acclaimed productions as part of Singled Out: A Festival of Emerging Artists. Curated by the Associate Director of Studio Programming Benjamin McGovern, the January 14 - 24, 2010, festival in the Dowling Studio will feature six performances by each company, showcasing the best work of the Twin Cities small theater scene.

Guthrie to present Interact Theater's international collaboration by Kevin Kling
The Guthrie will present Northern Lights/Southern Cross: Tales from the Other Side of the World, an international collaboration between Interact Theater and Australia's Tutti Ensemble, companies both comprised largely of artists with disabilities. An epic tale spanning cultures and hemispheres, acclaimed actor/playwright/storyteller Kevin Kling shares his story of personal growth and rebirth, in the production directed by Interact artistic director Jeanne Calvit, with original music by Tutti Ensemble's Pat Rix.

"Tiny Kushner" cast heading to Berkeley
The Guthrie today announced that Tiny Kushner, slated for an October 16 through November 28 run at Berkeley Repertory Theatre, will be a co-production between the two theaters. The evening of short plays by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tony Kushner premiered at the Guthrie on May 20 as part of its highly successful Kushner Celebration. Long-time Kushner collaborator and Berkeley Rep Artistic Director Tony Taccone again directs the production, which features four Guthrie favorites - J.C. Cutler (Major Barbara), Kate Eifrig (9 Parts of Desire), Jim Lichtscheidl (The Two Gentlemen of Verona) and Valeri Mudek (A Midsummer Night's Dream) - performing multiple roles in five works by Kushner.
