Tonight is the first of eight 2009-10 Guthrie Girls Night parties. After an overwhelming response to the 2008-09 events, the fun nights are back! You'll savor a delicious cocktail and a VIP treat in the Target Lounge, while being pampered with spa services from Aveda Institute and Salon Miyagi. Cutiepie DJ Eric Lovold (of the Indie/Rock Band "The Alarmists") also returns this season to spin his signature tunes

Thanks to KARE 11's Jeff Olsen and the troupe of hearty Guthrie volunteers for setting their alarms early this morning and joining us for a special "drive through" food drive benefiting Emergency Food Shelf Network!

The Guthrie and KARE 11 television will team up on Tuesday, November 17 to offer a morning "drive-thru" food drive supporting the Emergency Food Shelf Network, with donations being collected curb-side in front of the Guthrie Theater from 6 - 9 a.m.

You have an incredible opportunity to help the Guthrie on Tuesday, November 17. By making a donation to the Guthrie Theater at GiveMN.org on November 17, you will release matching dollars to support Guthrie's productions and programs. GiveMN, a new Web site allowing you to research and make online donations to Minnesota charities, is launching "Give to the Max Day," which will begin at 8:00 a.m. on November 17 and conclude on November 18 at 8:00 a.m.  During this 24 hour period, online donations made at GiveMN.org, will be eligible for matching dollars.

The Sophomore Company (Class of 2012) of the University of Minnesota/Guthrie Theater's BFA Actor Training Program will be performing two productions in repertory beginning November 12th of two award-winning American plays: Michael Cristofer's The Shadow Box and Eugene O'Neill's Ah, Wilderness!
