The Peer Gynt Trivia was a success! We had 20 members of the cast and crew participate. And the Winner's are as follows:

3rd Place: Miriam Silverman (actor)

2nd Place: Susan Fick (wardrobe supervisor) & Amber Brown (wardrobe assistant)

1st Place: Bill McCallum (actor)

I must give special recognition to Gary, Dave and Bill for their participation. They did not place, but were closer in their answers than I ever thought possible.

We had a big surprise for our show last night (Saturday night) other than the birthday party that is part of our prologue. Our director, Tim Carroll, surprised us all by taking a flight across the pond to see his production one final time before we close next week. No one knew he was going to be here - much less in the country! The reason we were caught off guard was because we don't usually see directors after the show opens unless they are local. Tim enjoyed watching the show one last time and is now on a plane back to England. Not bad for a short weekend trip around the world!

Mark Rylance got a splinter from the floor of our stage shortly into the top of our show this afternoon. I tried to get it out while he was offstage for about a minute, but it just wasn't enough time for minor surgery. So, he's currently onstage with a small piece of wood in his right hand ring finger. He'll stay onstage for at least another 45 min before he'll get another chance to get it out. I feel so bad that I couldn't help him, but I know he understands and we can only do what we can do backstage. We've created a lot of backstage miracles over the years without the audience even aware that something is wrong, but time was against us this time. The show waits for no one.

Well, we have one week to go. We shall see what the legacy of this production of Peer Gynt ends up being...
