What's your hometown?
My hometown is lovely Richardson, Texas, a suburb just north of Dallas.

First show you saw at the Guthrie?
Six Degrees of Separation. And it remains my favorite show I've seen at the Guthrie.

First show you were in at the Guthrie?
I understudied for Hamlet, but A Midsummer Night's Dream is my first role.

First show you were ever in?
Stone Soup at Aldridge Elementary

What's the best advice you've received from a fellow actor?
Know what you want. If you know what you want to be doing, it'll make it a lot easier to reach for your goal.

What's the worst advice you've ever received from a fellow actor?
"Just throw in a line, even if it's from another show." Thank you, Ron Albertson of Waiting for Guffman

Cue or Target Lounge?
Uh... a dive bar? But if I had to pick one, I think I'd go with Cue.

What is always in your dressing room?
A newspaper, a water bottle, and a toothbrush.

Favorite place at the Guthrie?
Endless Bridge

Where else do you go to see theater in the Twin Cities?
Jeune Leune and Children's Theater, oh and the U of Minnesota's BFA Performances

What's your dream role?
I am constantly surprised by the roles I end up playing. I think I prefer to have no expectations.

Is there a local actor you haven't worked with, but want to?
There are too many to name

Favorite movie?
I love Paul Thomas Anderson's Magnolia

What's the last book you read?
Into the Wild

What's on your iPod?
Paul Simon, Fleetwood Mac, Modest Mouse, Pearl Jam, Tom Petty, Rilo Kiley

Totally single

If you could have dinner with any playwright, living or dead, who would
it be?
Tough one. I'd love to have a meal with David Mamet.

Best State Fair food?
Simple. Dark chocolate covered marshmallow.

Yes! I can't believe you asked me that!

Don't have one... yet.

What's the most cringe-inducing thing you've ever said or done in front
of Joe Dowling?
I was drunk during a graduation ceremony senior year in the BFA program and I said something to the extent of... "okay, so now you HAVE to cast me."

Any place in town where you're considered a "regular"?
Sawatdee Thai Restaurant, baby.... I work there.

Dogs or cats?
Dogs all the way. Specifically boxers.

Shaw or Chekhov?
Shaw.
