Alas, the Big Blue Blog has been ignored lately, what with all the fancy backstage video on http://www.mymidsummer.com/, it's been hard to motivate the Fairies to use their words.
Let's see if some outside pressure will help. Below is a note from one of our loyal readers - let's see if we can coax a Fairy or five into responding:You need to get those fairies movin'! I'm very depressed that the blog hasn't been updated lately. Here are some ideas to get the creative juices flowing:
With all the political coverage going on right now, I'd like to know which of the characters from the show they think would make the best president of the US and why.
If each of the fairies could be a cartoon character, who would they be?
Which of the actors in the show has the strangest habits?
Most people have heard of the concept of 6 degrees of separation. What is the most interesting connection that the fairies can make using four or less degrees?
That should get you going.

Fairy Brian Skellenger responds:
These are sort of challenging questions, but seeing as it was MY sister that posed them, I suppose I'm sort of obligated to respond, right? I'll just try to answer them in order.
My candidate for President from this show would probably have to be Oberon. He's a pretty intimidating dude, and he has special fairy powers that would help keep everyone in check. My only concern is that he might get jealous or angry and turn into a dictator or sorts, but I think Titania could help keep him in check. I guess that would make Puck Vice-President? That might be a bit troubling, but at least he has a sense of humor. I suppose Titania would make a good President as well.
If I could be any cartoon character who would I be? What a strange question. I have no clue. Maybe Stewie Griffin from "Family Guy"? I don't think I watch enough cartoons now. When I was younger, I would have said Leonardo from "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," because blue is my favorite color.
Now, in terms of actor habits, I really don't have any idea, because I'm pretty much only around the fairies, and none of them really have strange habits. I haven't witnessed anything out of the ordinary from the rest of the cast. I could be wrong though. I hope somebody proves me wrong, because crazy actor habits are just magical, really.
And to answer the last question, I'm sure I could make all sorts of connections to famous actors, being in this business, so that's probably not all that interesting. But after consulting Sara, I guess I can make a connection to George W. Bush through a friend from high school's dad, and Amy Adams from "Enchanted" used to babysit a friend of mine from college, although a lot of actors in the Twin Cities probably know Amy, so that connection isn't all that impressive.
So, kind of boring, but there it is. I hope I've completed my brotherly duties.
