Musings from the Mayor of Moon Town

If the prerequisite for writing one of these blogs is the amount of down time one has in a production, I might be overqualified. My stage time equals roughly 27 minutes in a three hour show, (27 action packed minutes, mind you), leaving me ample time to snoop in dressing rooms and gossip with wig ladies. So get ready for never before-seen-heard-unbelievable-what-the-no he dint-snap-behind the-hold up-slap down-dirt.

Here's just a taste: Stephen Pelinski knits. Yeah, you read it here first, he knits AND pearls. I tell ya, I ain't holdin back.

As to the explanation of this blog title, another little known fact about Merchant is that I take part in the opening carnivale dance. That's me with the moon mask, looking kind of like that old McDonald's commercial guy that kind of scared me, you know, he sang Mac the Knife or something, in fact, I think it scared a lot of people which is why you don't see it anymore...ANYWAY I also wear this big red sash, so the nickname came about that I was the Mayor of Moon Town. And one of my goals as mayor is to make sure my citizens are well stocked in cheese.

See, this is what happens when you have 27 minutes of stage time.
