The Big Blue Blog is back!

The Big Blue Blog is back! We started with some backstage blogging from actors during Edgardo Mine and A Christmas Carol, but decided to take a brief hiatus while our Web site was redesigned. Now we're ready to re-launch the BBB and we hope you'll check in often to read about what's REALLY going on at the Guthrie.
In the coming weeks you can look here to find insights from the directors whose work you see onstage at the Guthrie, musings from the creative staff, behind-the-scenes notes from actors in rehearsals, guest reviews and general backstage news.
The Guthrie can be defined any number of ways - it's the theater that was founded almost 44 years ago by Sir Tyrone Guthrie and launched the resident theater movement in America; it's the stage where some of the most talented actors in the country have worked; it's that big blue building rising from the banks of the Mississippi River. But ultimately, like all theaters, it is a collection of dedicated, passionate, brilliant, slightly off-center people. That's what the Big Blue Blog is all about - giving those amazing people a forum in which to share their thoughts and ideas about life and art.
