Chair

Martha Goldberg Aronson

Martha Goldberg Aronson is a Corporate Board Director currently serving on the board of directors of several public companies. Previously, Goldberg Aronson was executive vice president and president of Global Healthcare at Ecolab. Prior to joining Ecolab in 2012, Goldberg Aronson was senior vice president and president, North America, at Hill-Rom Holdings, Inc. Earlier, Goldberg Aronson served as senior vice president at Medtronic. Throughout her 18 years with Medtronic, she held numerous positions in general management and led several functions both in the U.S. and Europe.

Goldberg Aronson began her career as an associate consultant at Bain & Company, a global management consulting firm. Goldberg Aronson has served on numerous non-profit boards in the Twin Cities. Goldberg Aronson graduated phi beta kappa and magna cum laude from Wellesley College with a bachelor’s degree in economics. At Wellesley she was named All-American in Division III tennis, as well as Academic All-American. She earned her master’s degree in Business Administration from Harvard Business School.

Kenneth F. Spence III

Ken Spence is Executive Vice President and General Counsel for Travelers, a position he has held since January 2005, having served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel from August 2004. Previously, Mr. Spence held several leadership positions within the company’s Legal Services group, from April 2004 with Travelers, from 1998 to 2004 with The St. Paul Companies, and prior to that with USF&G Corporation. Before he joined the company, he was a partner of Miles & Stockbridge, in Baltimore, MD.

Secretary

Susan W. Allen

Susan W. Allen is Senior Vice President Marketing at Dessert Holdings, a Gryphon Investors portfolio company. She has extensive experience leading brand growth in the consumer goods and retail industry at organizations such as General Mills and ConAgra Brands, and with corporate turnarounds at SUPERVALU and Schwan’s. Prior to her current role, Susan was Founder & Principal of BrandImpact Consulting focused on small and mid-sized food organizations. She started her career in financial services as a CPA at KPMG.

Susan has a passion for arts and education, and serves on the Board of Directors of STAGES Theatre Company, and in advisory roles for Upturnships and Brand innovators. Susan received her MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA, and her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Howard University. She lives in Deephaven with her husband and eight-year-old son.
