Guthrie Luminaries

Become a Guthrie Luminary

As a nonprofit, we rely heavily on ticket income and contributed revenue from generous donors. The performance cancellations as a result of COVID-19 will cause a significant loss in ticket revenue, making tax-deductible contributions even more critical.

You can help us keep the lights on during this unprecedented moment in history by becoming a Guthrie Luminary. Donate the value of your tickets or make a gift to help us sustain operations during this crisis and ensure our ability to reopen in the strongest way possible.

Are donations tax-deductible?

The Guthrie is a nonprofit theater and ticket donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. The recent federal CARES Act added a universal charitable giving incentive for contributions of up to $300 in 2020, a provision to allow all non-itemizer taxpayers to deduct charitable contributions from their tax returns.

What are the benefits of donating?

Guthrie Luminaries will receive special recognition on our website, be mentioned in next season’s programs and receive a pin as a token of our appreciation. When we are able to meet together again, be sure to wear your pin so we can thank you in person.
