Guthrie Luminaries

Thank you, Guthrie Luminaries

As a nonprofit, we rely heavily on ticket income and contributed revenue from generous donors. The performance cancellations as a result of COVID-19 caused a significant loss in ticket revenue and made tax-deductible contributions even more critical.

Thank you for helping us keep the lights on during this unprecedented moment in history by becoming a Guthrie Luminary. Your ticket donations and gifts are helping us sustain operations during this crisis and ensure our ability to reopen in the strongest way possible.

Make A Gift

Are donations tax-deductible?

The Guthrie is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and all donations to the theater are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. The 2021 CARES Act (federal COVID-19 relief bill) extends a universal charitable giving incentive for contributions made to registered nonprofits. This provision allows nonitemizing taxpayers to deduct up to $300 per individual and $600 per couple in charitable contributions from their 2021 tax returns for gifts made by December 31, 2021.

What are the benefits of donating?

Guthrie Luminaries receive special recognition on our website, a mention in next season’s programs and a pin as a token of our appreciation. When we are able to meet again, be sure to wear your pin so we may thank you in person.
