Casting

We are committed to equity, diversity and inclusion in all areas of our work, including the casting of our plays. We seek to hire actors who reflect our world and strongly encourage people from underrepresented groups and diverse backgrounds to audition. EOE/AA employer.

Most casting for Guthrie productions is done locally, although some out-of-town actors are hired for almost every production. The majority of our out-of-town casting is arranged through McCorkle Casting, Ltd.

Script submissions

The Guthrie does not accept or review unsolicited scripts. Agents and theater professionals may submit new and previously produced scripts by invitation only.

Volunteers

We rely on hundreds of volunteers to make our work possible. The majority of them collaborate with Front of House staff to ensure our patrons have an outstanding experience.
