Plan Your Visit
Explore our FAQ
We’ve received great questions about what returning to the Guthrie will look like. So we’ve compiled them in an FAQ page to help you stay in the know, especially as local and national safety guidelines continue to change. We update this page regularly, so check back often as you plan your future visit to the Guthrie.
Know before you go
As we resume in-person performances, the health and safety of our staff, artists, audiences and guests continues to be our top priority. From masking to vaccination, we’ve outlined our requirements so you know exactly what to expect when you visit the Guthrie.
Capture the moment
As you explore at the Guthrie, have your camera or phone ready to capture the architecture and scenery you discover. Take a peek at our building highlights to get inspired, and review our photo and video guidelines before you visit. And remember to tag @GuthrieTheater or use #GuthrieTheater when you share on social so we can see your welcome-back snaps.
Ignite the imagination
As you’re taking in the sights and sounds of the Guthrie on the river, you won’t want to miss two newly installed, interactive exhibits on our building’s exterior. Strike a pose in front of the selfie stations on South 2nd Street; then pop around to our riverside entrance to make your debut on hand-painted steps with a message near and dear to our hearts.
Shop the Guthrie Store
You can shop in person Thursdays and Fridays from noon to 4 p.m. to browse our rotating collection of gifts, show mementos, Guthrie-branded gear and one-of-a-kind items made by a medley of makers.
In the following weeks, hours may shift as we determine how to best serve our guests. Visit guthriestore.com for the most up-to-date information.
Stay tuned for more
We love showing guests around the Guthrie, and we hope to resume our backstage and architecture tours in late fall. Food and beverage service will likely return in phases, and we’ll share more information in the coming months. Until then, we encourage you to support nearby restaurants in our neighborhood.
