Explore the history and heart of the Guthrie
Go behind the scenes of our world-renowned facility with unique tour experiences perfect for individuals or groups. Due to popularity, reservations are strongly encouraged. Tour routes are subject to change based on theater programming and special events.

Backstage Tour
Visit our thrust and proscenium stages, scene shop, costume shop, prop shop, rehearsal rooms and more. Tours take place on Friday and Saturday at 10 a.m. 45 minutes.
$12 per person
$7 for subscribers, students and seniors

Architecture Tour
Discover the Guthrie as an architectural marvel, including site selection, neighborhood influences and noteworthy elements that have garnered worldwide attention. Tours take place at 9 a.m. on the first Saturday of the month and 10 a.m. on the third Saturday of the month. 75 minutes.
$17 per person
$12 for subscribers, students and seniors

Accessibility tours
ASL-interpreted backstage tours may be arranged two weeks in advance by contacting accessibility@guthrietheater.org. Complimentary sensory tours for patrons who are blind or have low vision take place before audio-described Saturday matinees at 10:30 a.m. and allow patrons to explore the stage, costumes and props. Reservations are not required.
