About the event

Amanda Brinkman spent her entire career helping companies define their purpose by turning big brands into movements and proving that companies can truly “do well by doing good.” When she left the corporate world to become an entrepreneur, she realized so much of her identity had been tied up in her career. She started asking a different question: What about personal purpose?

Since then, Amanda has been on a mission: listening, learning and gathering stories from real people about what makes life and work feel meaningful. The Purpose Pursuit is her annual chance to share what she’s discovered along the way: the insights, the surprises and, yes, a few things she got completely wrong. Part inspiration, part honest reflection and part “figuring it out together,” this event is for anyone who has ever wrestled with purpose, meaning, identity and the shifts we feel within us as the seasons of our life change.

This year, The Purpose Pursuit is centered on the purpose of mentorship — the impactful, powerful thread that connects our lives across generations. It’s about honoring the people who went first, the ones who showed us what was possible, often before we believed it ourselves, and recognizing that we are now standing in a season where we can do the same for someone else. This theme invites us to reflect on what we’ve been given, what we’re learning right now and how we can pass it on, not perfectly, but meaningfully, to those coming behind us. Because purpose isn’t just something we discover for ourselves; it’s something we live in when we share our light and lessons with others.
